“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1.
We talk a lot about seasons in the circles we find ourselves. Often saying, and hearing others say things like, “It’s a busy season at work.” Or, “This season of having young kids is so tiring.”
Also, “Wow, when we added that type of variety into this season, I felt rejuvenated!” And, “Isn’t it amazing how this season of life with kids makes us see our world with fresh amazement and wonder again!”
It is interesting to pause and reflect on the year past, and imagine the year ahead. Last Christmas, our youngest was 21 months old and we felt space opening up in our hearts and minds to add more! We felt inspired to share and create. It was a time to deepen current connections, and make new ones too. ☺️
This first year of FolkLife Rhythms has been an awesome season! We love sharing, connecting, experimenting, learning, and growing together in this pursuit of life rhythm, healthy teamwork, and purposeful parenthood!
Now, one year later, we’re approaching another new season. With our baby girl due in 4 weeks, and the Christmas season upon us, we feel another desire: To create space, to invest time, and to be present as a family so we are all completely in the moment when she chooses to join us!
To do this, we are putting FolkLife Rhythms on pause.
We believe this is part of living a life in rhythm – acknowledging each season, recognizing what it needs, and purposefully choosing how to invest into it.
And so, recognizing that there is a time for everything, a season for every activity under the heavens, we dedicate this next one to cultivating a cozy and intimate Christmas season with our family!
And then, welcoming home our new daughter! You better believe we will be soaking in all the baby snuggles and the sweetness a newborn brings. And, we will most definitely be out of rhythm for a while! 😉
As a family, we are excited and ready to embrace all that this season with a new baby will hold, and we anticipate emerging with some new experiences and fresh perspectives to share when it comes to family rhythms, when the time is right.
We are so eagerly looking forward to you joining us, little one 🤍
Much love from,
Brianna and Ben
